Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday after finding the net in Al Nassr FC’s clash against Al Shabab FC.
Ronaldo reached the milestone in the 75th minute with a calm low finish after being set up by Senegalese forward Sadio Mané, extending Al Nassr FC’s lead to 3-1 against Al Shabab FC. The Portuguese star was later substituted in the 91st minute after another influential performance in front of the home crowd. The match eventually ended 4-2 in favor of Al Nassr, with Portuguese forward João Félix scoring a hat-trick.
The goal also pushed Ronaldo’s overall career tally to 971 goals as the 41-year-old edges closer to the historic 1,000-goal mark.
Ronaldo’s 100th Saudi Pro League goal has given Cristiano Ronaldo yet another record in the football world, with the Portuguese captain becoming the second-ever player to score 100 league goals in three different countries after Isidro Lángara and the first-ever in top-flight leagues.
Since arriving at Al Nassr in late 2022, Ronaldo has transformed the Saudi Pro League’s global visibility while continuing to deliver consistently in front of goal.
Out of his 100 league goals in Saudi Arabia, 70 have come with his right foot, 18 with his left foot, 11 through headers, and one with his back.
Al Nassr are currently leading the Saudi Pro League table as Ronaldo eyes the first league title of his career with the Riyadh-based club.
The team is also preparing for the Asian competition final, keeping hopes alive for a major double this season.
Despite winning the Arab Club Champions Cup shortly after joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo is still chasing one of the club’s biggest domestic trophies, with league success remaining a major target.
The former Real Madrid CF, Manchester United F.C., and Juventus FC forward remains one of football’s most productive scorers even in the later stages of his career.
