Nigerian social media figure Uche Okoye has stirred conversation across Nigeria and beyond after publicly addressing long-circulated rumors about body odor associated with Brazilian Butt Lift, commonly known as BBL.
In a statement that quickly went viral, Okoye said her views were based on personal experience, revealing she has undergone the procedure multiple times.
“Take this from me, someone who has done BBL three times and liposuction, if you are not extremely clean, you will smell. Many people with BBL smell,” she said.
Her remarks have fueled an ongoing online trend suggesting that some women who undergo BBL procedures may struggle with hygiene-related odor issues, though the claim remains widely debated and not medically generalized.
Okoye also referenced past public complaints during a U.S. tour by Chris Brown, where some attendees allegedly raised concerns about body odor among women in crowds, further amplifying the discussion.
A Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic surgery that enhances the size and shape of the buttocks using a patient’s own fat. The procedure involves liposuction removing fat from areas such as the abdomen or thighs and reinjecting it into the buttocks to achieve a fuller and more contoured appearance.
