Tanzanian 6th President Samia Suluhu Hassan | Ikulu Gallery
In one of her 2024 speeches, the Tanzanian president Hon, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan said that only 2% of all 70,000,000+ Tanzanians pay mandatory taxes. These taxes are paid by individuals receiving at least $750 or 2,000,000 Tanzanian shillings per month. That’s not 20%, that’s 2% of 70 Million Tanzanians, that is 1.4 million people and no country runs without taxation, truth should be said. Imagine a country of 70 million people only a fraction gets to be paid at least $750.

Tanganyika got independence in 1961. Then it merged with Zanzibar in 1964 to create Tanzania. At that time, Tanzania had a total of 9 million people. At the end of 2020, Tanzanians were approximated to be 55+ million. Then, their population jumped to 63+ million in the 2022 census. They are approximated to be 71+ million in 2025. It is predicted they will reach 100 million in 2038. Wow! what a number, what a crowding development. I happened to meet a few proud but poor Tanzanians with a lot of kids. Some had 5 to 30 children. I asked them why they would have so many kids if they could not give them a good life. The answers were consistent. They said, “God said we should give birth and fill the world.” Some mentioned, “Birth control is the evil plan to make the world surrender to the New World Order.” Another said, “Why should I have as many kids as I want?” “This is a blessing” and some seem to love having a lot of kids even unattended. Summarizing these thoughts. It seems like their churches and preachers are doing a really great job. Meanwhile, their teachers are busy crying for a salary increase. Honestly, the odds point to those kids becoming either criminals or street children. Only a small chance and a fraction of luck point to their chance of success. Can such a country with such people ever dream of becoming the first world country? NO! NO! NO!
Youths are the backbone of the nation. Many of these youths have turned betting into a life-saving source of income. This is especially true for college and university graduates from such countries. What’s even that? That’s a disaster. The situation worsens when the elected representatives and renowned government leaders support such awful activities. These leaders are considered the wise men of the nation. They support these activities just to secure youths’ votes and keep their seats intact in government houses. Trash.
Social media has brought a great confusion to kids from these 3rd world countries. They can’t see the opportunities they are given. Instead, they see a platform to get fame and unprofitable influence. They use it for even stupid stuff, fake everything, insult people, and waste their time. They do not have time to do the work. They’re living like the 1st world countries. In those countries, kids have machines to do their laundry, cut grass, wash them, and do their chores. In these 3rd world countries, their kids have not realize yet they are the machines. Don’t they see such a simple thing, who’s gonna do their work then?
Lamarck was so good with his theory of life’s selection, only the strongest will survive. Imagine people still dream of all their kids being either teachers, lawyers, doctors, or pilots. They think farming is for poor people. They believe the internet is made for chilling, enjoying, being a dancer, or fame-farming. But they haven’t realized the world has decided to moonwalk. A 1910 watch is far more valuable and expensive than a 2025 watch. The difference is not even close. You pass through 3rd world countries’ meet-points. All that’s talked there is either sports, trends, who’s a better artist, or what movie was a blockbuster. They do not discuss what’s supposed to make their life standards better. Nobody there thinks about the country or what they’re planting for their future generation. They wonder what amazing ancestors the kids are going to have. Other factors such as corruption and lack of proper education hinder progress. Faith like stupidity contributes to stagnation. The current emerging lazy generation obstructs development. These issues will never allow a country like Tanzania to become a 1st world country.
