Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is a Ugandan politician, military strategist, and revolutionary leader who has served as the President of Uganda since 1986. Born in Ntungamo District in 1944, Museveni rose to power after leading the National Resistance Army (NRA) in a five-year guerrilla war that overthrew the government of Tito Okello.
