Abiy Ahmed

Abiy Ahmed Ali is an Ethiopian politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia since 2018. Born in the Oromia region in 1976, Abiy came to power amid widespread political unrest and quickly introduced reforms aimed at expanding political freedoms, improving regional relations, and modernizing the country. He received the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to end a long-running conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
