You Are Not Your Past

Be careful today not to let your past define your life. You have likely endured a great deal of depression, rejection, neglect, and abandonment, but always remember that these trials are just part of life’s temptations and tests.

You are far from the first person in this world to experience rejection; countless people have walked this same path, time and time again.

Consider the greatest figures in human history: many of the most famous names were once deeply rejected. Today, however, millions of people build entire careers, buy mansions, and purchase luxury cars and estates off the legacy of those very names.

So, do not let rejection or depression keep you down today. Ask yourself: what true meaning are you bringing to your life?

To find your footing, return to a core truth: you must understand the difference between what is yours and who you are.

Anything that belongs to you, your body, your past, or your temporary circumstances- is not the real, essential you. You are far greater than what you have been through.
