Kenyan President, William Ruto is expected to address the Parliament of Tanzania on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in what officials describe as a significant diplomatic visit.
The announcement was made on April 29, 2026, in Dodoma by Deputy Speaker Daniel Sillo shortly after a parliamentary session.
Sillo said the address is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. local time and will be attended by senior national leaders.
“This is an important and historic event that will also be followed by top national leaders, aimed at strengthening the brotherly cooperation between the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Kenya,” he said.
The visit comes as the two neighboring countries continue to deepen cooperation in trade, regional security, and infrastructure within the East African region.
Relations between Kenya and Tanzania have historically been strong, with both nations playing key roles in regional blocs such as the East African Community.
Ruto’s address is expected to focus on bilateral relations and shared development priorities between the two countries.
