US-Israel Strikes Oil Depots in Tehran

TEHRAN, Iran – Strikes on a large oil depots in southern Tehran resulted in huge fires at the sites. The attacks were reported to have been launched by the United States and Israel. This has escalated the increasingly war against Iran.

Video images spread across social media late Saturday night. They captured infernos burning. Large plumes of dark smoke spiraled into the night sky above a fuel storage sites. These sites are to the south of the capital of Iran. Explosions were heard around Tehran itself.

One of the site which was hit in the air raids has been reported by various international media sources as a major fuel storage depot. It provides the capital city with its energy supply. This depot also serves areas across the network in the country.

State media outlets in Iran said that attacks on fuel depots were the target. These depots were located to the south of Tehran. Israel military sources did, however, confirm that their warplanes launched raids on a number of fuel sites. These sites were in service to the Iranian infrastructure and Iran’s military supply chain.

The bombardments occurred as a growing conflict with Iran and its United States and Israeli coalition allies widened, after simultaneous air strikes against targets in Iran were initiated on the same day in late February 2026.

International news coverage included images of colossal columns of fire consuming the sky over the Iranian capital while emergency services were already working to tackle the flames.

There has been no official clarification yet on the extent of the damage caused. However, analysts are stating that this particular storage depot has an important role in supplying fuel to the Tehran area. They warn that if a large area is burnt, domestic energy distribution could suffer.

This event marks another phase in the escalating conflict across the Middle East between Iran and a US-led coalition and their Israeli partners, which ignited earlier when Iran was attacked in February 2026 by a co-ordinated military offensive by American forces.
