The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) is pleading with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to recall his recent executive order to send all proceeds from oil and gas revenues into the Federation Account saying that it is contrary to the Petroleum Industry Act, could risk the jobs of many Nigerians working at Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and could further agitate international investors.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) issued its first-ever major food-sector loan in Sub-Saharan Africa today. The €70 million will support cashew, cocoa, and sesame farmers in Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria to help them process crops locally instead of just exporting raw materials.
