A man armed with a machete entered a nursery school in Uganda posing as a parent and killed four young children in a shocking daytime attack.
He started by pretending to be a parent, then walked into a nursery school (Gaba Early Childhood Development Program) in Kampala, spoke briefly with staff, then carried out a deadly attack that left four children dead.
According to authorities, the man first entered the school office and interacted calmly with an administrator, raising no immediate suspicion.
Moments later, he stepped outside, locked the school gate, and turned violent. Armed with a machete, he moved toward the children and began attacking them. Police said the victims were young pupils, all killed inside the school compound.
The attack caused panic among staff and nearby residents, with reports of screaming and chaos as the situation unfolded. Authorities say the suspect was later taken into custody, though his motive remains unclear.
As news spread, angry residents gathered near the school, some attempting to confront the suspect. Police were forced to fire warning shots to disperse the crowd and restore control.
Officials described the attack as rare and deeply disturbing, especially in a city where such incidents involving children are uncommon.
Investigations are ongoing as police work to determine what led to the attack and whether the suspect had any connection to the school.
