Kershaw, 37, has been a cornerstone of the Dodgers’ pitching staff, earning three National League Cy Young Awards and an MVP in 2014. He has also been selected to 11 All-Star Games and played pivotal roles in the team’s World Series championships in 2020 and 2024. Entering his final stretch, Kershaw holds a 10-2 record and a 3.53 ERA in the 2025 season. His final regular-season start at Dodger Stadium is scheduled for Friday against the San Francisco Giants.
Over his career, Kershaw has amassed a 222-96 record with a 2.54 ERA—the lowest among active, qualifying pitchers—and leads active players in complete games (25) and shutouts (15). He surpassed 3,000 strikeouts earlier this season, solidifying his place among baseball’s elite.
Off the field, Kershaw is known for his philanthropic efforts alongside his wife, Ellen. The couple has been active in charity work in Africa and Los Angeles, and Kershaw was honored with the 2012 Roberto Clemente Award for community service.
Dodgers owner Mark Walter praised Kershaw’s remarkable career and contributions, expressing confidence in his future Hall of Fame induction. As Kershaw prepares to conclude his playing days, fans and teammates alike celebrate a career defined by excellence, consistency, and dedication to both the game and the community.
