Samsung Electronics has bagged 77 awards, including two Gold Awards at Germany’s iF Design Awards 2026 for its Music Studio 5 platform and energy-efficient appliances.
Samsung Electronics announced on Tuesday that it has secured 77 accolades in Germany at the 2026 edition of the iF Design Awards, the well-established international industrial design contest. The competition annually recognizes cutting-edge design worldwide.
Included among the many awards were two Gold Awards, the highest honor. Samsung’s “Music Studio 5” platform, which received recognition for its excellent user interface and overall design, was granted the Gold award in that category, along with Samsung’s sustainable appliances that earned the Gold award for product design.
Submitted from many divisions of iF Design Awards, the awards are categorized as product design, communication design, packaging design, service design, architecture design, User Experience (UX) design, and User Interface (UI) design. The competition this year saw thousands of designs from companies in dozens of nations.
The awarded products covered various fields of consumer electronics including mobile devices, home appliances, visual displays, and digital services. The company stated that its design teams pursued the implementation of sustainability, user interaction, and accessibility as primary design strategies.
In terms of its Gold Award-winning appliances, the sustainability focused appliances were highlighted in regard to recycled materials and carbon emission reduction in the manufacturing process and a design that improved its energy efficiency without losing its premium design quality.
The Music Studio 5 platform was praised for creating a new user experience of musical creativity through integration of innovative audio features and intuitive UI, which Samsung hopes will assist amateur users and professionals with customizable sound and creative support tool features.
The iF Design Awards competition started in 1954 and are judged by independent and experienced international experts. Generally only few products in each division get awarded the Gold award, in the competition’s acknowledgment for design breakthroughs.
Samsung has had an impressive performance in various global design awards to position its brand image to its global consumer base and in smart home technology.
While there were no specific financial benefits to be stated related to the awards for now, Samsung said it would continue to invest in its research and development to realize the full extent of design-led innovation in all of its products around the world.
