Raja Jackson assaults wrestler Syko Stu during a live streamed event.
The incident took place during an independent wrestling show organized by KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Sun Valley on August 23. What was meant to be a scripted wrestling match turned real when Jackson entered the ring in street clothes, slammed wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith to the mat, and punched him repeatedly until Smith became unconscious. The moment was caught live on Jackson’s Kick livestream channel.
Smith suffered serious injuries. He was briefly hospitalized with head trauma, damage to both his upper and lower jaws, a torn upper lip, a fractured maxilla bone, and the loss of several teeth. After several days in hospital, Smith was released and is now resting at home.
According to records, Jackson was officially arrested on September 18. Following the arrest, his father Quinton publicly condemned the attack, expressing disappointment and insisting Raja should face serious consequences including possible jail time and therapy. Rampage also said that his son should be accountable for his actions.
Jackson’s arrest has prompted questions about the safety and regulation of wrestling events, especially independent ones. The blurred line between scripted performance and real violence has drawn wide public and legal attention. Promoters and participants are now facing scrutiny over what safety measures and supervision were in place.
