Actor and celebrity photographer Brad Everett Young has died after being involved in a car accident in Los Angeles. He was 46.
He was driving alone at night on the 134 Freeway after leaving a movie theater when another car going the wrong way struck his vehicle. He died at the scene of the crash. The other driver survived and was taken to hospital.
Young had a long career in acting and photography. He appeared on many TV shows, including Grey’s Anatomy, Boy Meets World, Felicity, Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, and The Practice. On film, he had roles in Charlie’s Angels, Jurassic Park III, I Love You, Man, Rumor Has It…, and Austin Powers in Goldmember.
As a photographer, Young was well known for his work behind the scenes at events like red carpet premieres and for shooting portraits of many stars. He founded Dream Loud Official, an initiative which worked to bring back arts and music programs in schools.
Many friends, co-workers, and fans are mourning his passing. Actors who worked with him remembered him as kind, generous, and always positive. They say he helped others start their careers, often without asking for payment, and used his art to lift others up.
The world of entertainment has lost someone who had talent both in front of the camera and behind it. His work in television, film, and photography made him visible, but his warmth and generosity made him respected.
