Terry Gene Bollea, famously known as Hulk Hogan, has died at the age of 71. The wrestling icon passed away on the morning of July 24, 2025, at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida, after suffering cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital.
Hogan was one of the most recognizable figures in professional wrestling history. Rising to fame in the 1980s, he became the face of Hulkamania and helped catapult the WWE (formerly WWF) into global popularity. Known for his powerful persona, signature moves, and famous catchphrases, Hogan headlined multiple WrestleMania events and was inducted twice into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Outside the ring, Hogan appeared in films, ran businesses, and starred in the reality show Hogan Knows Best. Despite facing personal controversies, including legal battles and leaked recordings, his influence on pop culture remained massive.
Tributes poured in from wrestling legends like Ric Flair, John Cena, and Triple H, as well as from figures like Dana White, Sylvester Stallone, and even Donald Trump, who called Hogan “a true American hero.”
Hogan is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and his two children, Nick and Brooke. His legacy as a pioneer in professional wrestling and pop culture will never be forgotten.
