As a new youtuber with my channel, “Bongo Times Now” back in 2018 I used alot of imput to grow my channel but I felt like my hardworking would never payoff but today in 2024, I can assure you that, I’m almost a perfect person to advise you on some things as a startup youtuber. As youtube keeps becoming the platform that people across the globe turned creators wants to thrive in the platform and make a change to either their lives, the world, both or none. I’ve compiled five things you should never do as a new youtuber.
Number one: Don’t start a youtube channel if you don’t have a specific content to share. As people are taking youtube too serious, they follow people whom they think are serious about what they’re doing. If you’re starting a channel, try thinking on whether you have something specific you will consistently give your audience, something that will define you and your channel.
Number two: Listen to your audience. As the audience is your boss, alot of youtube creators take all negative comments and reactions as insults or drawback to their contents, thus they never pay attention to their comments. Even MrBeast, a great youtuber once admitted in an interview that he at a time thought he was making the greatest videos but when he looks at them, he sees nothing than a dissapointment. Your audience sees what’s great and what’s bad, if they take time to correct you take each and every comment into action.
Number three: Keep improving on each video. Look into every video you’re doing and make a vow to add, innovate and improve something that will keep the content much more clean and attractive each day. You can watch and listen yo your video and change your microphone because background noises are distracting the real sound
Number four: Be competitive. As a new youtuber, you have to know that giants who are doing same contents as you, are busy out there improving themselves, you have to keep in mid that, to be seen you’re entering a very competitive world of creations. Be competitive.
Number five: Don’t dive into every topic, every niche. A niche is a yopic or genre that defines all of your content. sticking to one topic gives the algorithm a chance to suggest your content to the perfect audience also get the fanbase you can handle.
